I worked with people in sales who had HR and Law degrees, artists, authors and dancers. They had degrees, impressive backgrounds and fucking awesome stories.

And I couldn’t for the life of me figure out why they’d chosen to work in sales. If you’re unfamiliar: the sales industry is the easiest to get into. At least it was when I […]

And I couldn’t for the life of me figure out why they’d chosen to work in sales.
If you’re unfamiliar: the sales industry is the easiest to get into. At least it was when I was employed. If you need a quick job, take a sales job. They dangle performance based commission in front of you to make it more attractive – aka – you sell more you earn more.
Should be good right?
It can be. But often it’s not. You’re an easily replaceable cog in a machine that rewards your hard work with more work and if you’re lucky, company pizza because you’ve helped them make an extra 2 billion 🤷🏼‍♀️….
But why would world class dancers give up their passion for sitting in a stuffy air conditioned box to sell boxed hardware?
Why would you have spent YEARS and accrued debt for a LAW degree to end up in sales?
Why would you give up touring the world and play music for sales?
I understood why I was in sales. I have no official university degree, I was fresh out of high school into the fray. I was in sales because apparently JUST ‘being good at something’ doesn’t make you employable so I had to find a space were qualifications were minimal.
And you don’t have to be good at sales to get a job in it.
People I went to school with, who were incredibly gifted at many things, took jobs in accounting, and management because it was ‘safe’ and allowed them to have a decent holiday a year.
People who consider it OKAY to put aside their souls fulfillment in favor of stability. Because that’s what is expected of them right?
It made me so fucking sad to see talented and gifted people, people who REALLY want to help others, consider themselves insignificant enough to believe that it’s easier this way.
And the worst part?
A lot of these people created their own businesses to create FREEDOM and fulfillment on their terms, only to feel pressure TO make money with their business, to show up on social media all the time, to have perfect funnels and branding and STILL they’re not making the kind of money they deserve to be making! (which is a lot!)
They were brave enough to quit the norm, and solo it, to put their message out there and work towards what they believe is right, only to overwork themselves, feel at the mercy of clients, unable to sustain all the systems and formulas that seem to make others successful….
And yet they still aren’t!
And that’s why I do what I do. Why I studied human behavior, psychology and systems that address energetic nuances such as human design.
Why it was that some people made more money than others.
Why skill alone wasn’t the deciding factor.
Why systems formulas weren’t a surefire way to create wealth.
And why people hold themselves back from reaching their highest potential….
Because it’s really lovely and powerful to see you light up with the understanding that this whole time, you already had it in you! And that you aren’t broken or wrong for these systems not working for you. And that you’re not a failure or meant to do this.
And how making money is so suprisingly easy when you unlock that part of yourself.
And that your goals aren’t silly and stupid and out of reach but that your desires and aspirations are with you for a reason.
